We've all seen the scene on movies at some point. A very sad person is standing near a grave, speaking to a loved one as if they are there and can hear them. It's sometimes a sad or sometimes a comforting scene and makes us ask, "Can they really hear us? Is part of them still here, watching over us like some kind of guardian angel?"
Last month I heard about a holiday in Ukraine in which people take flowers to decorate the graves of loved ones. We have a similar holiday in America as well. It is a called Memorial Day and is a time to remember and honor those who have fought and died in service to their country. We also use this time to remember our loved ones who have died and take flowers to their graves.
I've heard it said that people aren't really dead as long as we keep their memory alive. I also know many people who think that their grandmother or other loved one is in heaven, watching them live their lives. This is sometime that many people wonder about and will be our topic this Friday night. (Still no projector.)
This topic has most people baffled it seems, Christians and non-Christians alike. But luckily, all we have to do is to look in the Bible to find some answers.
